Private Five Day Queen Elizabeth National Park and Mountain Gorillas Safari

Private Five Day Queen Elizabeth National Park and Mountain Gorillas Safari

In the shadow of Rwenzori Mountains sits Queen Elizabeth National Park (formerly Ruwenzori National Park), Uganda's most popular game viewing destination. There is an abundance of wildlife on show including the legendary tree-climbing lions of the Ishasha Sector and the elusive giant forest hog. The Kasinga Channel is thought to have the largest concentration of hippos in Africa and also boasts a large population of monkey species, including Chimpanzees.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a World Heritage Site and home to many bird species, black-and-white colobus, chimpanzees and of course the endangered Mountain Gorilla. Due to the number of individuals currently calling the park home, this is the most popular place to search for the elusive Mountain Gorilla in Uganda.

The borders of the spectacular Ugandan and Rwandan rainforests offer visitors one of the rarest and most amazing animal experiences currently available in the world. With a population of approximately 300 of the remaining 700 Mountain Gorillas thought to be surviving in the wild, this is your chance to have a true wildlife encounter that few people will ever experience.

The time taken and the terrain crossed varies as each day is different depending on the movement of the great primates. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle giants is a once in a lifetime experience not easily forgotten. Many find it to be an incredibly emotional and moving experience and are often reduced to tears.

By visiting the Gorillas you are also helping to aid their survival. Gorilla tracking trips provide locals with an income thereby offering an incentive to protect the species from poaching and excessive land clearing. This is the first step to ensure their survival for future generations.

Private Three Day Murchison Falls National Park Safari

Private Three Day Murchison Falls National Park Safari

The mighty Nile River slows as it reaches the North West of Uganda and hits a 24 foot (7 meters) wide gap. Here the water explodes in a powerful demonstration of mother nature's fury known as the "Boiling Pot". The water then cascades down a 120 foot (36 meter) drop in a thunderous finale. Welcome to Murchison Falls!

Unlike its famous sister - Victoria Falls, it is not the size of Murchison Falls which draws visitors from around the world, rather the awesome power and fury of the water clashing with land.

Aside from the Falls themselves, there is much more to Murchison Falls National Park than just water. The park is a prime wildlife viewing location in Uganda, and not surprisingly the Nile Crocodile features high on the most impressive list. In this region they grow up to 15 feet (4.5 meters) and are often seen sunbathing on rocks in the river.

Also a common sight in the park are buffalo, giraffe, hartebeest, waterbuck and a healthy population of elephants.
